Mai Hofstad Gunnes is a visual artist based in Oslo, Norway. Gunnes works with 16mm film, video installation and collage and is also currently assistant professor at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She studied at Universität der Kunste, Berlin, CCA Kitakyushu, Japan, and Trondheim Academy of Fine Art, Norway, where she received her MFA in 2004. Recent solo exhibitions has been held at Entrée, Bergen, Baltic 39, Gateshead/Newcastle, Trondheim Museum of Art, WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels, and UKS (Young Artists’ Society), Oslo.
